Screen Icons Scotland is being created as a Scottish home for global screen history.
Our aim is to build a major visitor attraction and touring exhibition dedicated to screen-used movie props, costumes, production artefacts and collectable pieces from film and television history.
Based in Scotland, but international in scope, Screen Icons Scotland will celebrate the objects that helped create some of the most memorable moments on screen. These are not ordinary collectables. They are pieces of modern cultural history- items that carry the atmosphere of the stories, characters and worlds they helped bring to life.
The project is currently in development. We are working to secure the founding collection, identify the right future location, and build the partnerships needed to turn Screen Icons Scotland into a permanent destination by 2028.
The vision is simple: to create a world-class screen-prop museum in Scotland that appeals to film fans, families, collectors, schools, tourists, creatives and anyone who believes stories deserve to be preserved.
Scotland already has castles, galleries, whisky, landscapes and history. Screen Icons Scotland is about adding something new- a modern cultural attraction that connects generations through cinema, television, imagination and memory.
A place where global screen history can be seen, protected and celebrated.
A place built in Scotland, for the world.
