Screen Icons Scotland is being developed with the aim of securing the right permanent location by 2028.
Our goal is to create a modern Scottish visitor attraction dedicated to global screen history- a place where film fans, families, tourists, collectors, schools and creatives can experience remarkable screen-used props, costumes and production artefacts up close.
We are not open yet. We are building.
The next stage is securing the founding collection, identifying the right location, and creating the partnerships needed to bring Screen Icons Scotland to life.
Collection Comes First
Before a museum can open, it needs objects worth travelling to see.
That is why our current focus is sourcing the major pieces that will form the foundation of the attraction.
Built in Scotland
Screen Icons Scotland will be based in Scotland, but international in scope.
The ambition is to create a Scottish home for global movie and television history.
Future Destination
By 2028, our aim is to open a permanent visitor experience with exhibitions, events, education, private viewings, touring opportunities and partnerships.
